A CAREGIVER is a qualified specialist in social care who provides customer care and helps people who cannot /are unable to take care of themselves.

Caregiver, 2nd level of professional qualification
Duration of studies
1 year
Profession contents
The caregiver has to:
- satisfy people's basic needs,
- provide patient care and promote self-care,
- use verbal and non-verbal communication methods,
- participate in team work,
- work with individuals and families,
- do daily housework in the home environment.
The caregiver can:
- perform care in the home environment,
- work in childcare facilities,
- work in social care institutions.
